The Government Institute for Technological Training and Science (MAHAT) is proud to congratulate the Beer Sheva College of Engineering on receiving the prestigious “Minister of Defense Shield” award, granted for exceptional contribution and support to reservists and their families since the outbreak of hostilities. The award was presented to the college at a state ceremony in the presence of the Minister of Defense and the Chief of Staff.
Since the outbreak of hostilities, the college has demonstrated extensive valuable action and deep commitment to the students serving on the front lines. Winning the shield reflects a comprehensive institutional effort that included close personal accompaniment, a framework of extensive academic accommodations, and unwavering support for those serving to ensure their success despite immense challenges.
MAHAT Director, Ms. Shira Berliner: “The Beer Sheva College of Engineering’s win of the Minister of Defense Shield is proof of the depth of commitment, mutual responsibility, and national mission that the college staff leads in practice. During a complex period, the college chose to place the serving student at the center, and to prove that technological education and national resilience go hand in hand. We salute the college and the reservists.”
The Beer Sheva College of Engineering, as an academic anchor in the Negev, continues to lead not only in academic excellence but also in values. Winning the shield is an official stamp of approval for the work done from the heart every single day within the college walls.
We send our sincere thanks and salute to the reservists. MAHAT and the college will continue to stand by your side – in your studies, in your careers, and on the path forward.
