Jerusalem, 13 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) — In a historic and major military operation, Israel last night launched a surprise attack on Iran, bombing all nuclear sites.
– At 3:00 Israel Standard Time, the whole nation was woken by an air raid siren and alert on their phones from the Home Office command, declaring an country-wide emergency situation. Israelis were further instructed to stay close to their safe-rooms and that all schools and businesses are to be closed until further notice. Warplanes could be heard flying throughout the country.
– Shortly afterwards, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released an address via youtube, explaining that Israel has attacked Iran due to it’s growth of nuclear weapons, and acquiring enough uranium to make nine nuclear bombs within a few months. Naming the move as ‘Operation Rising Lion’, he stated: “This operation will continue for as many days as it takes to remove this threat. For decades, the tyrants of Tehran have brazenly, openly called for Israel’s destruction…This is a clear and present danger to Israel’s very survival…I’ve made it clear time and time again, Israel will never allow those who call for our annihilation to develop the means to achieve that goal. Tonight, Israel backs those words with action. We struck at the heart of Iran’s nuclear enrichment program. We struck at the heart of Iran’s nuclear weaponisation program. We targeted Iran’s main enrichment facility. We targeted Iran’s leading nuclear scientists working on the uranium bomb.”
– Mossad released footage of the bombings in Iran. Over 200 Israeli fighter jets pounded Iran’s nuclear sites overnight.
– The operation in Iran has had three parts so far:
1. Israel’s secret security service Mossad covertly established a drone base inside Iran. The drones struck missile launchers near Iran, disabling Iran’s ability to launch missiles at Israel.
2. In simultaneous manoeuvre, weapon systems were smuggled into Iran in disguised vehicles, which later dismantled Iranian air defenses.
3. Precision guided missiles were then deployed by Mossad agents beside anti-aircraft batteries, further dismantling Iran’s ability to reciprocate attacks
– Iran’s Military Chief Mohamed Bagheri and Air Force Commander Amir Ali Hajizadeh were both confirmed as assassinated in the strikes.
– Iranian media claims nuclear scientists were killed. This is yet to be confirmed by Israel.
– Overnight, hospitals within Israel readied themselves for a large influx of patients and citizens were warned to only go to hospital in cases of emergency.
– This morning, Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz posted to his social media feed on X: “Last night, at the last meeting with the General Staff Forum before the attack on Iran, I told the Chief of Staff and the members of the forum that this is a defining moment in the history of the State of Israel and the history of the Jewish people. The IDF launched an operation against the head of the Iranian octopus to thwart its capabilities and remove the threat of annihilation from the State of Israel. I and all citizens of Israel trust the IDF and pray for its success.”
– US Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, today made a rare public statement: “At our Embassy in Jerusalem and closely following the situation. We will remain here all night. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!”
– An IDF spokesperson said in a statement: “Overnight, Air Force fighter jets, under precise intelligence guidance from the Intelligence Directorate, attacked the Iranian regime’s uranium enrichment site in the Natanz region. This is the largest uranium enrichment site in Iran, which has been operating for years to obtain nuclear weapons and contains the infrastructure required for military-grade enrichment. As part of the attacks, the underground space at the site, which contains a multi-story enrichment hall with centrifuges, electrical rooms, and additional supporting infrastructure, was damaged. In addition, vital infrastructure at the site that allows for its continuous functioning and the continued advancement of the Iranian regime’s project to obtain nuclear weapons, was attacked. The close cooperation between the Intelligence Directorate and the Air Force resulted in significant damage to the site.”
– A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office today said that Netanyahu had conversations with world leaders: “…including the German Chancellor, the Indian Prime Minister and the French President. The Prime Minister is due to speak with US President Trump, Russian President Putin and the British Prime Minister. The leaders showed understanding for Israel’s defense needs in the face of the Iranian threat of annihilation; the Prime Minister said that he would continue to be in contact with them in the coming days.”
– US President Donald Trump today told Iran to make a deal or face ‘slaughter’.
– Israeli attacks on Iran are continuing at present. Retaliation from Iran is expected upon Israel in the coming days.
