Jerusalem, 9 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Government Unit for Coordinating the Fight Against Racism in Israel’s Justice Ministry has a new procedure for handling complaints in the field of racism and discrimination in government ministries, trust units and government hospitals
The purpose of the procedure, it said, which was formulated by the government unit for coordinating the fight against racism and published by the Civil Service Commission, is to establish clear and uniform procedures for handling complaints from employees and service recipients about racism and discrimination in the public service. The procedure focuses on inappropriate behavior based on skin color, origin, religion, and ensuring a safe and inclusive workplace for all public servants.
The procedure was presented to the managements of government ministries and those in charge of preventing racism at the President’s residence and in the presence of President Herzog and his wife, and constitutes a significant step in ensuring uniform, transparent and professional handling of any complaint regarding racism in the civil service.
