Jerusalem, 26 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Prime Minister Netanyahu met with Christian soldiers and commanders from all IDF (Israel Defense Forces) units.

Netanyahu said of the Christian soldiers, men and women, that they “fill all the important positions in our amazing army and do an amazing job,” and that this is “completely contrary to what is being portrayed on the outside.”

“Not only does Israel fight for the rights of Christians throughout the Middle East,” he added, “it has Christian soldiers fighting to defend Israel and our fellow Christians throughout the region and beyond.”

“I must say that I was impressed by their personal stories, their commitment, their sacrifice and their achievements,” Netanyahu said. “Israel is the only country in the Middle East where the Christian community is thriving, growing and expanding. And it is doing very well, with amazing men and women.”
