The indictment, filed by Adv. Rafael Aviv from the Southern District Attorney’s Office, states that on 31.10.2025, during the complainants’ journey in their vehicle, their path was blocked by a vehicle that attempted to prevent them from advancing. The driver managed to escape and continued driving, but later noticed a masked person holding an object resembling a weapon. In an attempt to escape, he turned onto a nearby street and continued driving towards his home.
At this stage, two additional gunmen emerged from a nearby courtyard, approached, and opened fire towards the vehicle. One of the bullets penetrated the driver’s door, hit his leg, and stopped at the steering wheel. Despite his injury, the driver managed to reach the house gate, where the family members exited the vehicle and fled inside to take cover.
Subsequently, one defendant stood on the roof of a nearby structure armed with an assault rifle, and together with another armed man, fired a large number of shots towards the house complex, while the deceased and his family members were outside the structure. During the shooting, a bullet hit the deceased in the head, an injury that caused his death later that day.
Concurrently, defendant 2 positioned himself at the end of a nearby alley armed with an assault rifle, and fired several shots at two minors who were standing in the parking area. The bullets passed close to them and hit the wall behind them. As a result of the shooting, one of the minors was hit in the head, lost consciousness, and was evacuated to the hospital. The shooting continued even during evacuation attempts from the scene, posing a real danger to human life in a residential area.
Defendant 1 is charged with murder, attempted murder, weapons offenses (carrying), and firing a firearm in a residential area in a manner that endangers human life. Defendant 2 is charged with two counts of attempted murder, weapons offenses (carrying), firing a firearm in a residential area in a manner that endangers human life, as well as aggravated assault.
The investigation in the case was managed by the Central Unit of the Negev District of the Police.
