Mossad Exposes Iranian General Directing Global Attacks on Jewish and Israeli Targets

Jerusalem, 26 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel revealed new details about the Iranian regime’s global terrorist operations on Sunday, exposing a senior Revolutionary Guards commander as the orchestrator behind multiple foiled attacks in Australia, Greece, and Germany. The details, released by the Prime Minister’s Office on behalf of the Mossad intelligence agency, highlight the scope of Iran’s efforts against Israeli and Jewish targets worldwide and the international consequences of Tehran’s failures.

Since Hamas’ October 7 attack on southern Israel, Iran has expanded its campaign targeting Jewish communities and Israeli interests abroad. The Mossad has now identified Sardar Amar, a senior commander in the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and head of the 11,000 Corps under Quds Force commander Esmail Qaani, as the architect of these plots, the Mossad said.

“Under Amar’s command, a significant mechanism was established to promote attacks against Israeli and Jewish targets in Israel and abroad,” the Mossad said. “This mechanism is directly responsible for the attempted attacks that were exposed in Greece, Australia, and Germany this past year.”

The operations led by Amar, according to Israeli officials, relied on high-level secrecy, recruitment of foreign nationals, and the financial backing of wealthy supporters. Despite this, the attempts repeatedly failed, resulting in a wave of arrests and the dismantling of the infrastructure behind the attacks. “The first exposure of Sardar Amar’s terrorist organization as the one behind the attempted attacks in Greece, Germany, and Australia proves the mechanism’s failed conduct in its efforts and undermines Iranian attempts to operate secretly under the radar,” the statement said.

In September, The Press Service of Israel reported that Iranian intelligence services are systematically outsourcing terrorist attacks to international criminal organizations, using drug cartels, biker gangs, and local criminals as proxies to target Jewish communities, Israeli interests, and Iranian dissidents worldwide.

The strategy reflects a deliberate shift by Tehran to maintain plausible deniability while expanding its shadow war against Israel and Jewish communities. Recent arrests and foiled plots in the United States, Canada, Britain, Sweden, Germany, Greece, and Australia reveal how the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence recruit criminals-for-hire to carry out surveillance, assassinations, and terror attacks.

As the plots were exposed, Australia expelled the Iranian ambassador and declared him persona non grata, while Germany summoned the Iranian envoy for a formal reprimand. These measures are considered precedent-setting. “These steps were intended to convey a clear message of zero tolerance for terrorist activity on their soil,” Israeli officials said.

For years, Iran has used terrorism as a tool to impose costs on Israel while evading military, political, or economic consequences, according to the Mossad. “Terrorist organizations operate while maintaining a space of denial and a disconnect between violent activity and Iran,” the agency said. The recent exposures, officials say, signal that such a space is shrinking. “The ongoing international campaign against Iranian terrorism denies Iran the space of denial, removes its immunity, and exacts heavy prices from it in the international political arena,” the statement added.

The Mossad emphasized that it will continue its coordinated efforts with international partners to counter Iranian threats. “We will act resolutely to thwart terrorist threats from Iran and its proxies, and to protect the citizens of Israel and Jewish communities around the world,” the agency said.
