Jerusalem, 26 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security launched a support program worth approximately 22 million Shekels ($7.6 million) for egg producers in the northern border communities. The support, said the Ministry, will help complete the transition to cage-free chicken coops and enable investments in advanced mechanization, technologies, and infrastructure.

The support will be provided for investments in relevant areas in the laying industry, and will allow breeders to significantly upgrade the production and labor infrastructure on the farm. Among other things, it will be possible to receive support for the purchase of advanced agricultural machinery and equipment, the implementation of innovative technologies for poultry management, the construction and expansion of agricultural buildings, as well as the development of supporting infrastructure such as a water system, feed centers and mixing plants.
