The Mass Transit and Public Transport-Oriented Planning Atlas is an online tool that compiles international reviews of over 150 projects in the field of TOD and transportation, from approximately 60 cities and regions in Israel and around the world.
The goal of the Atlas is to make accessible to the general public the many examples that have been examined as part of the planning work promoted by the Planning Administration, as part of the planning of mass transit systems and the promotion of policy for public transport-oriented planning in Israel.
Most of the examples in the Atlas were taken from some of the projects promoted by the Metro and Mass Transit Department, including:
TAMA 70 – A comprehensive plan for the area around metro stations in the Tel Aviv metropolitan area, defining urban development policy around metro stations. For TAMA 70 – click here
TAMA 65 – A plan for Integrated Transport Hubs (ITHs) that enable convenient and efficient connections between different modes of transport and promote active and accessible urban spaces. For TAMA 65 – click here
Development Scenarios – Jerusalem Metro – A comprehensive work to adapt the strategic plan for the mass transit system in the Jerusalem metropolitan area for 2050 with urban development scenarios for the target year. For Development Scenarios – Jerusalem Metro – click here
