Israel’s Foreign Minister Meets with Visiting German Political Leaders

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar met with a German Green Party delegation in Jerusalem, thanking Germany for its friendship and praising its EU leadership.

Jerusalem, 9 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar welcomed a German parliamentarian delegation to Jerusalem on Monday. The delegation included the co-chair of Germany’s Green Party Franziska Brantner.

Sa’ar said in a meeting he expressed to them Israel’s gratitude for Germany’s friendship with Israel and praised Germany’s lead in bringing about the designation of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards as a terror organization in the EU.

“Relations between Israel and Germany are important,” said Sa’ar. “We’ll continue strengthening them.”
