Jerusalem, 25 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar called on all countries with diplomatic ties with Iran to follow Lebanon’s lead and expel Iranian ambassadors.

Sa’ar made the call in a briefing he held Wednesday evening with the foreign ambassadors serving in Israel.

The Lebanese Foreign Ministry announced its decision to expel the Iranian ambassador yesterday.

In making the call, Sa’ar told the foreign ambassadors, “The strike on the (American military’s) Diego Garcia base (in the Indian Ocean) demonstrates that the Iranian regime has consistently lied about the range of its missiles, including during this war.”

“This further shows that the missile range of the Iranian regime threatens not only Israel and the countries of the region, but all of Europe as well,” he added.
