Israel, US and Latin American Leaders Launch Strategic Dialogue in Washington
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar launched a new US-Israel strategic dialogue on Latin American affairs in Washington with top officials from Argentina.
Jerusalem, 4 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar held a diplomatic meeting overnight in Washington at the residence of Israel’s ambassador to the United States, Yechiel Leiter, bringing together senior officials from Israel, the U.S. and Latin America. The talks coincided with the launch of a new Israel-US strategic dialogue on Latin American affairs. Attendees included the foreign ministers of Argentina, Paraguay and Ecuador, as well as US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau.
Sa’ar said 2026 would be a year of focus on Latin America, citing what he called a “great spirit of change” across the region.
