According to the indictment, filed by Adv. Li Debila from the Central District Attorney’s Office (Criminal), on the night of 4.7.25, the defendant was driving his vehicle on Road 6 with the deceased Ahmed Agbariya (25) z”l sitting next to him without a seatbelt.
At some point during the drive, the defendant deviated from his lane and collided with a truck driving in front of him. As a result, his vehicle collided with the safety barrier. Due to the accident, the deceased was killed at the scene, and the truck driver was evacuated to the hospital. In addition, damage was caused to the vehicles involved in the accident.
The indictment attributes to the defendant the offenses of causing death by negligent driving, transporting a passenger without a seatbelt, and negligent driving that caused road accidents in which property was damaged.
The prosecution requests to revoke the defendant’s driver’s license until the end of the legal proceedings against him.
