Government of Fiji to open an embassy in Jerusalem

The government of Fiji's decision was reached after Fiji's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sitinevi Rabuka met with Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar at the Munich Conference.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Gideon Sa’ar spoke this evening (Tuesday, 18 February 2025) with Fiji’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sitinevi Rabuka and expressed his gratitude for the Government of Fiji’s decision to open an embassy in Jerusalem, Israel’s capital.

The Fijian government reached its decision following Rabuka’s meeting with Sa’ar at the Munich Conference last Friday.

FM Sa’ar to PM Rabuka: “You are a true friend of Israel and a man of faith.” FM Sa’ar asked PM Rabuka to convey his feelings of appreciation and friendship to all members of the Fijian government. FM Sa’ar also expressed a commitment to strengthening relations between the two countries.
