Minister of Foreign Affairs Gideon Sa’ar will depart tonight (Sunday, 24 August 2024) for a diplomatic visit to the United States.
During his visit, FM Sa’ar will meet with secretary of State and National Security Advisor, Marco Rubio, per his invite. The meeting will take place in Washington D.C. on Wednesday, at the U.S. State Department. This will be their second meeting, following their previous one last February, when the Secretary of State visited Israel.
FM Sa’ar will also meet with Kristi Noem, Secretary of Homeland Security, who he hosted in Israel this May following the murder of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, employees at the Israeli Embassy in Washington D.C.
Additionally, Minister Sa’ar will meet with the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations and AIPAC leadership and will host a reception for Jewish community leaders and Christian friends of Israel.
