FM Sa’ar meets with Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission

The meeting was held within the framework of the Foreign Minister’s diplomatic visit to Brussels for the meeting of the Israel-EU Association Council meeting.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Gideon Sa’ar: “An excellent meeting with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, a friend of Israel. This was an important opportunity to present Israel’s positions on all the issues at hand: Gaza and the plan for the release of our hostages, Iran, Lebanon, Syria. We also discussed the shared desire to strengthen relations and the partnership between the European Union and Israel, as well as developments in the international arena. I invited President von der Leyen to visit Israel again.”
