FM Sa’ar: This is an especially challenging day when once again we see who we are fighting against and witness the extremities of their actions.

FM Sa’ar: “This is an especially challenging day when once again we see who we are fighting against and witness the extremities of their actions. What we saw today illustrates to us once again – surrendering to Hamas’ dictates is not an option. We are determined to achieve all the goals of the war.”

Minister of Foreign Affairs Gideon Sa’ar met today (Thursday, 20 February 2025) with the Conference of Presidents, the umbrella organization of Jewish organizations in the United States, at the Kirya in Tel Aviv. The Conference of Presidents is holding its 50th annual convention in Israel this week. The delegation of heads of organizations to Israel is led this year by Conference of Presidents Chair Harriet Schleifer Conference of Presidents CEO William Daroff.

FM Sa’ar: “This is an especially challenging day when once again we see who we are fighting against and witness the extremities of their actions.

What we saw today illustrates to us once again – surrendering to Hamas’ dictates is not an option. We are determined to achieve all the goals of the war.”

The Foreign Minister added: “During a recent meeting I had with a released abductee, she informed me that her captors had repeatedly indicated their intention to carry out similar attacks on Israel as they did on October 7. The implications of permitting these organizations to persist are unequivocal. That is why we insist on the complete demilitarization of the Gaza Strip.”
