FM Sa’ar meets with President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola in Brussels

The meeting focused on enhancing relations between Israel and the European Union.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Gideon Sa’ar met today (Monday, February 24, 2025) in Brussels with the President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola. The meeting was held within the framework of the Foreign Minister’s diplomatic visit to Brussels.

FM Sa’ar thanked the President for her clear support for Israel since October 7th, Israel’s most difficult time.

The meeting focused on enhancing relations between Israel and the European Union. FM Sa’ar told President Metsola that he expects constructive relations between Israel and the European Union.

FM Sa’ar: “The Palestinian Authority is continuing its Pay-for-Slay policy for terrorists and their families. Abu Mazen stated that he would continue to provide financial support to them, even if it were the last funds available. The Palestinians must cease the incitement against Israel in their education system and the European Union must ensure that its financial support money does not contribute to such purposes.”
