The indictment filed by Adv. Hind Nabelsi from the Central District Attorney’s Office (Criminal) states that on 11.08.2025, in the afternoon hours, the defendant entered the Rachim junction on Road 60 with his vehicle against a red light, blocking the lane of travel of a motorcyclist who arrived at the junction on a green light. As a result, the motorcycle collided with the defendant’s vehicle, and the deceased was pronounced dead at the scene.

The indictment attributes to the defendant the offense of causing death by negligent driving.

In the indictment, the prosecution noted that the defendant, through his negligent driving, caused the death of a person, as he entered the junction against a red light, did not brake, and did not do enough to prevent the accident.

The prosecution requests the court to revoke the defendant’s driver’s license until the end of the legal proceedings against him, as the defendant’s continued driving constitutes a danger to the public using the road.
