Donald Trump: This Is The Historic Dawn Of A New Middle East

Jerusalem, 13 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) — “This is the historic dawn of a new Middle East,” US President Donald Trump said in his address the Knesset on the day of the release of the last 20 Hamas hostages.

Trump entered the parliament building to a standing ovation which lasted two and a half minutes, only to cease after repeated requests from the speaker, Amir Ohana, before he began listing those who contributed to the agreement and the release of the hostages, including members of the Israeli government. Amir Ohana, before he began to list those who contributed to the agreement and the release of the hostages, both members of the Israeli and US governments.

Trump praised Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and expressed his gratitude to the Arab countries that participated and pressured Hamas to accept the plan.

Trump did not fail to praise the negotiating skills of Steve Whitkoff and Jared Kushner, while also mentioning Marco Rubio. “Marco will go down in history as the best US Secretary of State,” he said, adding that Pete Heggseth “is a much better leader than we thought.”

“As you know, we won two world wars and all the ones in between and all the ones before,” he said, adding that in nine months he managed to end eight wars. “Until yesterday, I said seven, but the hostages have returned,” he said to applause.

“The US has the most powerful military in history, we have weapons that everyone fears, and I hope we won’t have to use them, and we have given many of them to Israel.”

Addressing Israeli President Isaac Herzog, Trump said, “Mr. President, why don’t you pardon Netanyahu”

Trump also referred to October 7, 2023, as “the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust,” spoke of a new era for Israel and a Middle East in which “the forces of terror are now weak, isolated, and defeated.”

“An alliance of responsible and proud nations is emerging, and because of us, the enemies of civilization are retreating,” thanks to the bravery of the Israeli army and Operation Rising Lions against Iran.

As he said, the agreement could not have been concluded without the US strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities in June. “We have removed a large cloud from the Middle East and Israel,” he stressed, adding that “Israel, with our help, has gained everything it could” and that now is the time for “peace and prosperity throughout the Middle East.”

“My hope and dream is that the Abraham Accords will prove to be what we hoped they would be, and I want to thank the countries that participated,” he said.

“What we did today could have been done a long time ago, but it didn’t happen because of the Obama and Biden administrations and their hatred of Israel.”

“We are ready, and it will be the best choice Iran can make,” he said, addressing the leadership of the Islamic country and calling on them to cooperate “not out of weakness,” as he put it.
