Culture: Open Passport to All Nations

Moroccan and Israeli actors collaborate on a children's play in Sakhnin, demonstrating the power of culture to foster cross-border connections and unite hearts.

With these words, the Mayor of Sakhnin opened the closing event of the delegation of actors from Morocco, which took place in the city as part of a call for proposals from the Ministry for Regional Cooperation.

Throughout a full week of workshops, rehearsals, and meetings, actors from Morocco and Israel – Jews and Arabs, women and men – wove together a joint creation that became an exciting and inspiring children’s play.

“תרבות היא דרכון פתוח לכל המדינות”

The event was attended by the Director-General of the Ministry for Regional Cooperation, Gilad Shimon, and his team, who were exposed to the fruits of joint cultural and educational endeavors, and to the power of culture to connect communities, peoples, and hearts.

The entire project is part of the Ministry’s vision to create cross-border human connections through art, education, and social initiatives. Because sometimes, one small play – makes a big difference.
