Announcement regarding the untimely passing of the President of the Be’er Sheva District Court, Judge Beni Sagi

Judge Beni Sagi, President of the Be'er Sheva District Court, has passed away. He served the Israeli judicial system for 20 years, earning deep respect for his.

President Sagi was a talented and promising judge, a leader who was well-liked and deeply respected by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He achieved significant professional accomplishments at a young age, and his passing is a great loss to the judicial system, in which he served as a judge for approximately twenty years.

Alongside his professional achievements, he was a devoted family man—a husband and father—an avid sports fan, and a dear and beloved friend to his colleagues and all those around him.

Over the past year and a half, he served as President of the Be’er Sheva district court, having arrived from the Tel Aviv District Court. He fulfilled this role with great professionalism, demonstrating outstanding professional and personal leadership skills.

The President of the Supreme Court, the Director of the Courts, and all judges and employees of the court system share in the family’s grief and extend their heartfelt condolences to all who loved and cherished him.

The funeral will take place today, Monday, 05 January 2026, at 15:00, at Kiryat Shaul Cemetery, and will be broadcast live on YouTube.
