The Innovation Authority, the Reserve Service and Released Soldiers Administration in the ministry of Defense, and the Ministry of Labor have announced the entities selected to operate unique programs for reservists and released soldiers. This initiative aims to strengthen reservists and released soldiers who played a central role in the national effort, reduce knowledge and experience gaps created by prolonged absence from work during the fighting period, and train them to lead in the adoption and implementation of artificial intelligence tools in R&D processes within organizations.
The initiative, which selected 6 programs on the subject of artificial intelligence, is intended to strengthen reservists and enable them to bridge knowledge gaps created by prolonged absence from work, especially in the rapidly developing fields of artificial intelligence. Providing up-to-date and practical tools will allow reservists in core technological roles to lead innovative projects, streamline processes, and strengthen the resilience and productivity of the Israeli high-tech industry. The initiative also aims to reduce the reported employment anxiety among experienced employees in light of the accelerated penetration of artificial intelligence tools into the labor market.
The announcement comes against the backdrop of the Innovation Authority’s report with the Brokdale Institute, published in November 2025, which presents a clear picture of the depth of AI tool adoption in the Israeli high-tech industry over the past two years, with significant growth in productivity. According to the report, 95 percent of employees regularly use AI tools, leading to a significant improvement in the quality of outputs, approximately 70 percent, and a reduction in work times by tens of percent.
The entities selected to operate training and AI implementation programs for reservist high-tech employees
Made in JLM
Training reservists in the AI Champions track to lead the implementation and application of artificial intelligence tools within organizations, as part of a six-month program combining personal guidance and practical projects, in collaboration with Schreiber Lev-Tech and the Machine & Deep Learning Israel community.
The Engineering Technology Arena
The program is designed to train reservists, released soldiers, and others in knowledge and tools for AI-based geospatial data analysis, bridging the knowledge gaps between engineering, data science, and mapping, creating personnel adapted for civilian and defense companies, while acquiring practical capabilities for leading innovative AI-based projects.
Neat Applied
A training program based on practical experience in Embedded AI for reservist R&D personnel, with customized content to meet company needs.
Logtel Computer Communications
A practical skills program focusing on reservists’ use of artificial intelligence tools for the development and application of AI agents to automate business processes within organizations.
Jump In Impact
A program to train leaders (Champions) in artificial intelligence tools in technology companies, startups, and software houses. The program is intended for R&D employees, with an emphasis on active reservists and released soldiers, and includes periodic training, soft skills training to drive change in the organization, practical training, and monitoring of goals for tool implementation and increased company productivity.
18xImpact
The organization’s second program, following the acceleration program aimed at establishing startups, to accelerate the use of artificial intelligence tools among reservist programmers, with the goal of strengthening R&D processes in high-tech companies and making them innovation leaders within the organization.
In addition, five more programs were selected as part of a call for proposals based on the “Startup for High-Tech” model, to expand the entry channel for approximately 250 reservist and released soldier academic graduates into their first positions in the industry. The programs are intended for graduates of academic degrees and non-academic training who have not yet accumulated practical experience, and include assistance with placement in knowledge-intensive companies, with an emphasis on priority areas A and the Western Negev, and members of the Haredi community, integrating them into the core activities of the companies and providing support before and during the practical internship period.
The entities selected under the “Startup for High-Tech” model for practical experience for reservists in their first role in the high-tech industry
Jump In Impact Ltd. – The TechJump program is designed to bridge the gap between inexperienced academic graduates and the high-tech companies’ need for quality personnel. The program is intended for reservists, released soldiers, and underrepresented populations, who will participate in at least six months of practical training for entry-level technological positions in partner high-tech companies, with career guidance and a professional mentor.
Place.AI, NPO – A program for reservists and released soldiers in the Western Negev, focusing on reservists, released soldiers, graduates, and final-year students belonging to underrepresented populations. The program combines applied training in AI development environments and practical training in an internship model, alongside individual and group guidance.
ITQ Ltd. – Practical experience for junior released soldiers and reservists in Network Engineers, Integration, and Information Security roles. The program is based on the ongoing need for quality employees in these professions.
KamaH – A program, the first of its kind in Israel, that will focus on specialization and placement of reservists and released soldiers from the Haredi sector. Participants will undergo up-to-date technological training, soft skills, and interview preparation, and then intern for 6 months in high-tech companies with guidance and support for placement.
Cambium 2014 Ltd. – A practical experience program for reservists in the Western Negev, including mentorship and training designed for post-academic developers, which includes familiarization and experience with methods and tools used by experienced developers for effective management in software development and the use of AI tools.
Dr. Alon Stupfel, Chairman of the Innovation Authority: “Reservists and released soldiers bring unique experience to Israeli high-tech: responsibility, leadership, decision-making under uncertainty, and intensive work in complex environments. The programs we are promoting are designed to connect these capabilities with the most advanced artificial intelligence tools and to make participants leaders in the implementation of AI in R&D processes within companies. This is a move that creates double value: strengthening human capital and accelerating the innovation and competitiveness of Israeli high-tech on the global stage.”
Eyal Hans, Head of the Reserve Service and Released Soldiers Administration in the Ministry of Defense: “This program serves as a vital and unique lever for integrating released soldiers and reservists into the innovative labor market by providing tailored artificial intelligence tools and unique knowledge with an emphasis on the world of artificial intelligence. The practical experience programs for first roles in the industry were developed out of a desire to honor this important population, which forms the spearhead of Israeli society, and to open an exceptional window of opportunity for them to new horizons in high-tech.”
Yirmiyahu Gur, Acting Director General of the Ministry of Labor: “This program represents an exceptional opportunity to provide a targeted response for integration into quality employment in high-tech for reservists, particularly in the Western Negev regions. I am confident that the reservists who will participate in the program, including reservists from the Haredi sector, will be able to open a new career path for themselves and their families.”
