Israel MOD Director General Makes First Official Visit to Washington D.C.

The Israel Ministry of Defense (IMOD) Director General, Maj. Gen. (Res.) Amir Baram, arrived in Washington, D.C., for his first official working visit since assuming his role.
Maj. Gen. (Res.) Baram met with senior U.S. administration officials, including Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Elbridge Colby. The discussions focused on strengthening security and strategic cooperation, including in defense production and R&D, as well as shared assessments of regional challenges.
The Defense Ministry Director General thanked Mr. Colby for his steadfast support of Israel and his commitment to Israel’s security needs.
Accompanying the Director General on this visit are the Director of the IMOD’s Policy & Pol-Mil Bureau, Brig. Gen. (Res.) Dror Shalom; Defense Attaché to the United States, Brig. Gen. Heidi Zilberman; the IMOD Representative in Washington, Omer Haim; and additional senior officials.
