Senior Hamas Terrorist Yosef Ibrahim Mahmoud Bishati and Others Eliminated
Senior Hamas terrorist Yosef Ibrahim Mahmoud Bishati, responsible for an attack that killed 21 soldiers, was eliminated by the IDF and Shin Bet in Gaza.
Jerusalem, 13 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) and Shin Bet (Israel’s anti-terror General Security Service) struck this week several armed Hamas terrorists who approached the “Yellow Line” in Gaza and planned to carry out terror plots against IDF forces operating in the center of the Gaza Strip in the immediate timeframe.
In the strike, Yosef Ibrahim Mahmoud Bishati, a Hamas terrorist, was eliminated. The IDF said he was part of the terrorist cell that fired anti-tank missiles toward buildings where its forces were operating and toward a tank crew securing them. As a result of the terrorist Bishati’s actions, 21 IDF soldiers were killed.
Additionally, in the strike, other Hamas terrorists were eliminated, including an elite terrorist, head of a cell and officer in Hamas police, and three additional Hamas terrorists.
“The elimination of Bishati constitutes an important closing of the circle in response to one of the most severe terror plots carried out against IDF forces during the war,” said the IDF.
The Yellow Line marks the areas where Israeli forces are continuing to operate under the Gaza ceasefire agreement: Israel controls everything to the east, north and south of the line and Hamas and other terrorists are prohibited from crossing it.
