Jerusalem, 25 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the IDF to strike Hezbollah targets in Lebanon “forcefully” on Saturday after a new series of ceasefire violations, including rocket and drone launches toward northern Israel.
The Prime Minister’s Office said the order followed sirens in Manara, Margaliot, and Misgav Am in the Galilee Panhandle after two rockets were launched from Lebanon. One was intercepted, and the second landed in an open area. No injuries were reported. The IDF described the fire as a “blatant violation” of the ceasefire by Hezbollah.
About an hour later, drone infiltration alerts sounded in several western Galilee communities, including Hanita, Ya’ara, and Rosh Hanikra. The IDF announced that two drones crossed from Lebanon into Israeli territory. A third drone alert was later activated in Malkia, where the military said contact with a suspicious aerial target was lost.
The incidents followed Hezbollah fire earlier in the week, including rocket and drone attacks against northern Israel.
The IDF reported that it killed six Hezbollah terrorists in Southern Lebanon on Saturday. These included three individuals in an armed pickup truck, one on a motorcycle south of the forward defense line, and two armed terrorists near the Litani River. The military also noted that a total of 15 Hezbollah terrorists were killed over the weekend.
Israeli aircraft also struck Hezbollah infrastructure, including Radwan Force buildings, weapons storage facilities, and launchers in Deir al-Zahrani, Kfar Rumman, and al-Samiyah.
Prime Minister Netanyahu stated that Israel would maintain complete freedom of action against threats from Hezbollah and would reestablish security in its northern communities.
