Hamas Commander Involved in October 7 Attack Killed in Airstrike

Hamas Nukhba Force commander Sakr Abu Karim, who led the Oct. 7 infiltration of Kissufim, was killed in a southern Gaza airstrike Tuesday, the IDF confirmed.

Jerusalem, 7 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — A commander in Hamas’ elite Nukhba Force who led the infiltration of the Kissufim area during the October 7, 2023 attack was confirmed Killed in an airstrike, the Israel Defense Force said Sunday morning.

According to the iDF, Sakr Abu Karim, who was killed in an airstriks in southern Gaza on Tuesday, carried out attacks on Israeli forces in Gaza, maintained a large cache of weapons in his home and trained terrorists.

A second man who served as a Hamas communications operative was also killed in the strike.
