252nd Sinai Division Completes Gaza Mission, Destroys Numerous Terror Infrastructures, Eliminates 35 Terrorists

The IDF's 252nd Sinai Division has completed its Gaza mission, destroying terror infrastructure and eliminating over 35 terrorists, including those from Oct. 7.

Jerusalem, 3 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Over the past few months, the forces of the IDF’s (Israel Defense Forces) 252nd Sinai Division (under its Southern Command) have been operating in the northern Gaza Strip after reporting for duty at the beginning of Operation “Roaring Lion” against Iran that began on February 28, and have now completed their mission. The forces of the 99th “Ha’Bazak” (Lightning, res.) Infantry Division will continue the mission in the northern Gaza Strip.

The forces of the 252nd destroyed weapons depots, observation posts, combat complexes, and above- and below-ground terrorist infrastructure. Recently, a significant operation was completed to clear the Beit Hanoun area of above- and below-ground terrorist infrastructure.

The division’s fire brigade eliminated more than 35 terrorists, among whom were were ones who invaded Israeli territory in the October 7 massacre and posed a threat to IDF forces in the Gaza Strip.

The divisional engineering forces destroyed approximately 7 kilometers of underground tunnels in the northern Gaza Strip.
