In the meeting of the foreign affairs and Defense committee on Wednesday, actor Israel Katorza addressed the committee on behalf of the families of the Gaza hostages. Katorza said, “At a time when there are so many differences of opinion, there is one thing that is not in dispute; everyone wants our hostages to return home. How can I look my ten-year-old son in the eye and tell him that this is the safest place to grow up?
“I know how complex it is; it’s clear to me that we are facing murderous terrorists, it’s clear to me that we don’t want Hamas to control the Gaza Strip, but these citizens shouldn’t pay the price of the fiasco. Bringing back the hostages is the victory, it may not be a victory of war but it is a moral victory.
“There is no normal routine without their return home. I ask the decision-makers, would you make the same decisions if your son were in Gaza now?”
