Prime Minister’s announcement on the Government’s plans for the coming session accepted by the Knesset Plenum; no-confidence motions submitted by the opposition voted down

Knesset Plenum accepts Prime Minister's plans for the upcoming session; no-confidence motions from opposition voted down.

​​In its sitting on Monday, the knesset Plenum voted to accept the prime minister‘s announcement on the Government‘s activity in the period that had elapsed since the previous session, and on the Government’s plans for the coming session. In the vote, 58 Members of Knesset supported the acceptance of the announcement, versus 49 who opposed it.

Also on Monday, the knesset Plenum voted down three no-confidence motions that were submitted by parliamentary groups from the opposition.

The motion submitted by Yesh Atid, entitled “Rot and governmental corruption that are eroding the public’s confidence,” was supported by 49 Members of Knesset, without opposing votes. The motion submitted by Blue and White—National Unity Party, entitled “Bringing back the remaining hostages from Hamas captivity in the Gaza Strip,” was supported by 47 Members of Knesset, without opposing votes. The motion submitted by Labor, entitled “Trampling of the judicial branch by the Government—breach of trust against the State of Israel,” was supported by 49 Members of Knesset, without opposing votes.

The motions did not receive the requisite majority, and consequently, were not accepted.
