Knesset Plenum votes down no-confidence motions submitted by parliamentary groups from the opposition

Knesset Plenum votes down no-confidence motions from opposition groups. Yesh Atid, Yisrael Beitenu, Blue and White, and Labor motions not accepted.

​In its sitting on Monday, the Knesset Plenum voted down three no-confidence motions that were submitted by parliamentary groups from the opposition.

The motion submitted by Yesh Atid, entitled “A minority government without the ability to legislate or rule and without legitimacy to continue,” was supported by 41 Members of Knesset, without opposing votes.

The motion submitted by Yisrael Beitenu, Blue and White—National Unity Party and Labor, entitled “Loss of governance, rampant violence, record number of murders, loss of personal security, protection racketeering, and complete ineffectuality,” was supported by 41 Members of Knesset, without opposing votes.

The motion submitted by Ra’am—United Arab List and Hadash-Ta’al, entitled “Government fiasco in dealing with violence and rising crime in Arab society,” was supported by 37 Members of Knesset, without opposing votes.

The motions did not receive the requisite majority, and consequently, were not accepted.
