Speaker of the knesset MK Amir Ohana (Likud) met on Monday with 59 ambassadors to Israel. Monday marked the opening of the fourth session of the Twenty-Fifth Knesset.
Joining the meeting was Ilan Gilboa-Dalal, the father of former hostage Guy Gilboa-Dalal, who was returned to Israel last week. Addressing the foreign envoys, who received him with applause, Gilboa-Dalal said, “The hostages were beaten on a daily basis. They also suffered psychological torture, yet they refused to disclose any information about the army or the state. The terrorists who held them did not break their spirit. My son Guy returned from captivity with many injuries, but we are surrounded by tremendous help and support, and I believe he will recover.”
speaker mk Ohana said, “We insist that the agreement signed by the State of Israel be fully upheld — one way or another — according to which all the deceased hostages will be returned, and Hamas will be disarmed. We proved to Hamas yesterday that any violation on its part will be met immediately and with severity.”
