​The Special Committee for Public Petitions convened on Wednesday and voted unanimously in favor of the appointment of MK Osher Shkalim (Likud) as committee chair.

 
Incoming Committee Chair MK Shkalim: “Many thanks to everyone for the confidence and the support. I am certain that we will do good things to help the citizens and the people of Israel as much as possible. We as a state should improve the service to the citizens, both in the private sector and in the public sector. The Special Committee for Public Petitions has exposed a great many injustices over the years, and I am certain that we will succeed in improving the citizens’ lives. There is a lot of work ahead of us, and with God’s help we will take action and succeed.”
