Jerusalem, 26 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) — A large forest and treetop fire is burning near the Yaffa Nof and Beit Hakerem neighborhoods of Jerusalem. A Fire Department spokesperson said 22 fire crews, seven firefighting aircraft and a police helicopter are working to contain the blaze, which he predicted will be brought under control in two hours.
Due to heavy smoke, residents of those neighborhoods were urged to remain indoors with their windows closed while temperatures reached 37° C.
