During an inspection, it was found that the following information was omitted from the cosmetic product label:
- Indication of the ingredient Limonene
- The warning statements required under the terms of the cosmetic license
Limonene is a fragrance ingredient naturally found in essential oils and perfume extracts, and it is included in the list of allergens that must be declared according to Ministry of Health regulations.
Warning: Consumers who are known to have sensitivity or an allergy to Limonene or to any of the fragrance components are requested to avoid using the product.
There is no concern regarding the product’s quality or its safety when used according to the instructions. However, for reasons of transparency and compliance with labeling requirements, consumers with sensitivity to any of the fragrance components are requested to act as stated above.
Required warnings:
- Do not use the product if you are known to be sensitive to any of the ingredients
- Use the cosmetic product only for its intended purpose and according to the instructions for use
- Do not swallow
- Avoid contact with eyes
- Keep out of reach of children
The company is working to update the labeling on the packaging in coordination with the Ministry of Health.
