Tu B’Shvat planting honors hero cop Ran Guili

Hero cop Ran Guili, who fell fighting Hamas on Oct 7th, is honored with a Tu B'Shvat planting ceremony. His legacy of bravery and dedication to Israel is.

Rani, may his memory be blessed, went out to fight on the morning of October 7th, bravely eliminating Hamas terrorists who had raided the South on that Shabbat. He fell defending his homeland in a heroic battle for Kibbutz Alumim, and his body was abducted to the Gaza Strip. 

Exactly one week ago, his body was located by IDF soldiers and security forces after extensive efforts, and last Wednesday he was laid to rest in a state police ceremony in his hometown.

During the ceremony, which was held this morning as mentioned, in the presence of the Commander of the Samaria District, Superintendent Avi Cohen, the Mayor of Ariel, Mr. Yair Shabon, the command staff, and officers of the Samaria District, the district police Rabbi, Chief Inspector Chaim Levi, recited a prayer and words of remembrance to commemorate the memory of Rani Guyali, may his memory be blessed – his character, his work, and his great contribution to the Israel Police and to the security of the entire State of Israel.

The Commander of the Samaria District, Superintendent Avi Cohen, noted in his remarks:
“Tu B’Shvat is a day that symbolizes the strengthening of the people of Israel and the eternity of Israel. A special day dedicated to the hero of Israel, Ran Guyali, may his memory be blessed – an officer who acted out of a sense of mission, values, and love for humanity. Commemorating him is our moral obligation, to continue his path and pass on his legacy to future generations.”

The Israel Police will continue to commemorate the memory of the fallen and honor their legacy, as an integral part of its values and daily operations as an organization entrusted with maintaining order and law, but above all – maintaining the security of the country’s residents.
