About a month ago, on 26.12.25, a combined attack occurred in which Shimshon Mordechai z”l (68) was run over and killed in the city of Beit She’an, and Aviv Maoz z”l (18) was stabbed to death near the community of Ein Harod. The combined attack was carried out by Ahmed Abu Al-Aroub, a resident of Kafr Qabatia (34), who was neutralized by a passerby.
From the joint investigation material by the Northern Central Unit and the General Security Service, it emerged that the terrorist infiltrated the State of Israel several days before the attack from the Jerusalem area, and was employed by a resident of Arraba in construction work.
On the morning of the attack, around 05:30, the terrorist, along with his employer and another resident of Judea and Samaria from the Arraba community in the Galilee, went to the community of Mesilot, where he was engaged in plastering work for a private house under construction.
At some point, the terrorist decided to steal his employer’s vehicle and carry out a murderous attack, after arming himself with a knife and a screwdriver that he took from the construction site. Upon leaving the community of Solelim, the terrorist drove to Beit She’an, where he ran over and killed Shimshon Mordechai z”l and lightly injured a 16-year-old boy in another ramming incident.
From Beit She’an, the terrorist drove towards Road 71 and at the Tel Yosef junction, he hit a stationary vehicle and proceeded towards two young people who were at the location, carrying the knife from the construction site. The terrorist managed to reach an 18-year-old young woman and began stabbing her multiple times, and her death was pronounced by the medical team.
From there, he continued his journey to the Ma’onot junction in Afula, and when he identified a 37-year-old pedestrian, he swerved off the road towards him, hitting him and injuring him moderately to severely. A citizen who was present at the scene and identified what was happening, engaged and neutralized the terrorist.
At the end of the investigation, the Northern District Attorney’s Office will file a severe indictment this morning against the terrorist in the Nazareth District Court. In addition, indictments will be filed against the terrorist’s two brothers who were in the State of Israel illegally, and against the terrorist’s employer, a resident of Arraba (45).
