According to the indictment, filed by Adv. Yael Iger from the Jerusalem District Prosecutor’s Office, the accused planned the acts in advance, stalked the deceased for days in and outside of Jerusalem, and in order to carry out his plan, he also prepared in advance to cover his tracks and maintain full control over the course of events. On the day of the incident, he forced the deceased to travel with him from his residence in Jerusalem to an isolated area, where he stabbed him, severely wounded him, and then pushed him into a deep, abandoned water pit tens of meters deep, while he was still alive.
Afterwards, according to the indictment, the accused drove the deceased’s car to the Angels Forest and set the vehicle on fire, with the intention of covering his tracks and making it difficult to locate the deceased.
The indictment attributes to the accused the commission of offenses of murder with aggravating circumstances, kidnapping for the purpose of murder, arson, possession of a knife, destruction of evidence, and invasion of privacy.
Concurrently with the filing of the indictment, the prosecution requested the court to order the accused’s detention until the completion of legal proceedings against him, given the severity of the acts, the danger he poses, and a real fear of obstruction of justice.
In the detention request, Adv. Yael Iger from the Jerusalem District Prosecutor’s Office stated, among other things, that “from the investigation material, it appears that there is a concern that the release of the respondent from detention will lead to obstruction of justice, given the fact that the respondent possessed a one-way plane ticket to Paris for December 30, 2025, by means of which he planned to leave the country.”
