Further to the announcement of 24.1.26, Teva Israel Ltd. is calling for the recall of Nutrilion AR 900g and Nutrilion AR 400g products – intended for infants suffering from frequent spitting (reflux), following an announcement from the manufacturer in Europe for batch number 2026.12.01.
Following the global Recall events of several infant formula manufacturers, which included the removal of products from shelves in dozens of countries worldwide, due to the presence of the toxin Cereulide in fatty acids used as an ingredient in infant formulas, and further to the publication of 24.1.26 in Israel regarding the presence of the toxin Cereulide – produced by the bacterium Bacillus cereus and which may be found in fatty acids used as an ingredient in infant formulas – the ministry of Health instructed Teva to conduct additional laboratory tests by the formula manufacturer ‘Nutricia’ on products marketed in Israel suspected of containing the toxin. In these tests, a specific batch of Nutrilion AR products was found to have a Cereulide level exceeding the threshold values recently set by the competent authority in Ireland, which also formed the basis for the current risk assessment in Israel. In light of this, ‘Teva Israel’, the marketer of Nutrilion, decided, in coordination with the Ministry of Health, to additionally withdraw products from a specific batch of Nutrilion AR products intended for infants suffering from frequent spitting (reflux).
