Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, MK Avi Dichter: “More than anything, the story of Israeli agriculture at the beginning of 2026 is a story of breaking the glass ceiling. After producing more than we imported in 2025, we are marching towards a more positive future, with significant food security as a result of the hard work of our dear farmers. This unique exhibition serves to remind us all of the source of our pride and resilience, which we will not give up. On the contrary, we are investing and will continue to invest heavily in it!”
Speaker of the Knesset, MK Amir Ohana: “The produce of Israeli agriculture is a source of national resilience and pride. We are happy to host, as every year, the Ministry of Agriculture and Israeli farmers in the People’s House, where they provide attendees and guests with a rich and beautiful Israeli experience, second to none, on the Knesset’s holiday.”
Today, Monday, the holiday of Tu B’Shvat (2.2.26), the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security is leading a unique exhibition at the Knesset, as part of the events marking 60 years of the Knesset. As part of the exhibition, the Knesset is opening its gates to the general public, and approximately 1,500 visitors are expected to visit the compound, including children, soldiers, retirees, companies, and more. The exhibition will focus on the importance and strengthening of Israeli agriculture, the food security of the population in Israel, and the connection between local production, research and development, innovation, and the Israeli kitchen. At the center of the exhibition, a **giant artistic exhibit in the likeness of Herzl made of Israeli fruits and vegetables** will be displayed, which at the end of the event will be donated to lone soldiers. In addition, an Israeli produce cart will be displayed, under the slogan “A sign that it’s from here.”
Alongside this, **interactive stations** with touch screens will be set up, allowing visitors to be exposed to the **future of Israeli agriculture**, to present the “Home Ministers for the Farmer” platform, accompanied by demonstrations and hands-on experience, as well as a **GIS station**, which will expose visitors to innovative analysis and planning capabilities in the industry through a guided browsing experience. Furthermore, an exhibit will be set up whose essence is the preservation and extension of shelf life as part of food security programs, including various ways to properly store fruits and vegetables to extend shelf life, groundbreaking developments and research in the citrus fruit industry, as well as a spectacular display of the dairy industry.
