Risk Description

Risk Type: Safety hazard for infants from birth.
The products were imported as strollers but were also marketed as car seats, despite not being approved as such in accordance with import legality and traffic regulations.
The Standards Institution and the Vehicle Division acted jointly to locate the products and examine the existence of the required approvals. As the documents were not presented as required, it was decided to publish a warning notice to the public.

Action Required

For the sake of children’s safety, consumers who purchased the products are requested to immediately cease using these models as car seats.
The public is requested to report any instance of the product’s presence by submitting an online inquiry or via email.

The Supervisor of Standards emphasizes that a product not meeting standardization requirements must not be manufactured, sold, or imported, in accordance with Section 9(a)(1) of the Standards Law, 1953.
The Standards Institution in the Ministry of Economy and Industry will continue to conduct ongoing and proactive inspections regarding products subject to official standards, and those who do not comply with standardization directives are subject to sanctions in both the administrative and criminal spheres.
