The Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Aviv Kochavi, held a situation assessment at the Northern Command today (Friday) with members of the General Staff Forum. During the situation assessment, the Chief of Staff instructed to continue strengthening and deepening the defense on the border.
Afterwards, the Chief of Staff spoke with the heads of authorities in the North. During the conversation, the Chief of Staff presented the operational situation to the heads of authorities and emphasized the importance of the move to deepen the control line on the Lebanese border.
In addition, the Chief of Staff emphasized the IDF’s commitment to maintaining the residents’ security and expressed appreciation to the heads of authorities and the residents for the resilience, responsibility, and spirit demonstrated in the home front during this period.
The Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Aviv Kochavi, said: “Hezbollah and the Iranian regime are one – we will complete the collapse of the Iranian axis and continue to strike the enemy.”
“We are crushing the Iranian terror regime and will seize every opportunity to deepen our achievements. Hezbollah chose to join the campaign alongside Iran and is paying the price. We will seize every opportunity to harm Hezbollah, deepen our achievements, and remove the threat. We will not give up on disarming Hezbollah.”
