“Good evening, Passover eve, the IDF is fighting – in defense and offense,” opened Brigadier General Efi Daffin for the holiday, “We continue to strike the enemy with great force. Our achievements are accumulating to a broad impact. We are dismantling them and striking all the systems of the Iranian terror regime and its proxies. Also tonight, we attacked senior Hezbollah commanders, in the heart of Beirut we continue to hold situation assessments at all times.”
“It is possible that the Iranian terror regime and Hezbollah will fire towards Israeli territory. In order to harm Israeli civilians during the holiday. Our defense systems are deployed and ready to intercept threats throughout the country. Even on the eve of the holiday, it is important to remember that the defense is not hermetic, I call from here to you – obey the Home Front Command’s directives.”
“In recent weeks, we have again seen the strength of the IDF,” he continued, “the heroism of the fighters operating on the various fronts, and beyond them. The professionalism of the Home Front Command personnel, and all support and logistics systems. And the sense of mission and commitment of all IDF service members, in conscription, career, and reserve.”
“Citizens of Israel, tonight you will sit at the Seder table in the midst of Operation ‘Lion’s Roar’. Remember that IDF forces in the air, at sea, on land, and in all systems and sectors, are prepared in defense and offense, determined to protect you.”
“I appeal from here to the mothers, fathers, wives, and family members of IDF soldiers and commanders deployed on all of Israel’s borders,” he added, “We prepared for the eve of the holiday to provide the best response to each of our soldiers, in each of the sectors.”
“Most of them are not celebrating the holiday with you. Be proud of them. They are acting with dedication, determination, and responsibility for the security of the State of Israel and its citizens, even on this holiday.”
“I want to address the children of Israel from here, dear children, some of your fathers and mothers are not with you on the eve of the holiday. Know that they are guarding you. They are a generation of lions, heroes and heroines. The IDF is constantly working to bring about a better and more secure future,” he stated, “I will be here and update you on any developments. I wish all the people of Israel a Passover holiday that is as happy and safe as possible.”
