Together with the commander of the Basij unit: The IDF eliminated the head of the Basij unit’s intelligence division in Tehran. The Air Force, under precise IDF Intelligence Directorate (Aman) guidance, attacked earlier this week the senior leadership of the Basij unit in the heart of Tehran, during which the unit’s commander, Gholamreza Soleimani, and several other senior commanders were eliminated. The IDF now confirms that in this attack, Esmail Ahmadi, who served as the head of the Basij unit’s intelligence division, was eliminated. In his role, Ahmadi took a central part in promoting and executing terror operations carried out by Basij unit forces, and alongside this, he was responsible for enforcing public order and the regime’s values on behalf of the Revolutionary Guards. Within the framework of the internal protests in Iran, and particularly in the recent period with their intensification, Ahmadi took a central part in leading the main suppression operations, using severe violence, widespread arrests, and the use of force against civilian protesters. His elimination, along with the elimination of the unit’s commander, is added to dozens of senior commanders from the armed forces of the Iranian terror regime who have been eliminated throughout the operation, and further deepens the damage to the regime’s security command and control arrays. The IDF will continue to operate with force against the commanders of the Iranian terror regime.
