Missile launch in central Israel went undetected; investigation reveals interception of most threats, with two impacts causing minor injuries.
An initial investigation indicates that most of the threats launched were intercepted. Attempts to intercept two of the threats were unsuccessful, resulting in impacts in two different areas in the center of the country, without activating an alert. This is not a new threat; the Air Force has intercepted similar threats in the past. In both incidents, a number of lightly injured individuals were reported. Following the initial investigation by the authorized bodies in the Air Force and the Home Front Command, adjustments were made to strengthen interception capabilities against similar threats in the northern arena.
