Forces of the ‘Shachaf’ (869) intelligence unit, operating under the command of Division 91 in southern Lebanon, are working to prevent Hezbollah’s reconstruction attempts.
Over the past year, the unit’s fighters have eliminated approximately 60 Hezbollah terrorists and destroyed dozens of terror structures, weapons depots, and observation posts.
In addition, the unit’s observation posts assisted in directing ground and air fire in hundreds of targeted operations in southern Lebanon.
As part of the unit’s organizational and technological changes, a new female combat company is expected to be established this coming March to improve the unit’s capabilities and readiness.
