IDF eliminates top Iranian Quds Force commander in Tehran responsible for Hezbollah's armament and operations.
Ali Zada was the highest-ranking Iranian commander responsible for Iranian activity in Lebanon, serving at a rank equivalent to Brigadier General. The Lebanon Corps constitutes a liaison axis between the Hezbollah terror organization and the terror regime in Iran, and serves as a body that supports the armament and force buildup of Hezbollah, and served as the liaison between senior Quds Force officials and Hezbollah leadership. Ali Zada previously held several positions, including commander of the Strategic Weapons Corps in the Quds Force, where he managed the armament of Hezbollah’s proxies with strategic weapons. Zada constituted a significant knowledge hub in the areas of fire capabilities of Hezbollah and other proxies. Zada entered his role upon the conclusion of Operation “Northern Arrows” and was involved in the rehabilitation of the terror organization and drawing lessons for managing terror activity against Israel. Even currently, he constituted a factor that agitated and pushed the Hezbollah terror organization to advance terror operations against the State of Israel. Israel will not allow the entrenchment of Iranian terror elements in Lebanese territory, which harm the rehabilitation of the Lebanese state and strengthen Hezbollah. The IDF will act against attempts to rehabilitate and rearm the Hezbollah terror organization, and will act forcefully to remove any threat to the citizens of the State of Israel.
