For years, Larigiani was considered one of the most senior and longest-serving figures at the top of the Iranian terror regime and was close to the regime leader Ali Khamenei. After Khamenei’s elimination, Larigiani solidified his position as the de facto leader of the Iranian terror regime and led the fight against the State of Israel and the countries of the region. In his role, Larigiani led the political-security coordination of the Iranian terror regime and was involved in directing international activity. During the recent wave of protests against the regime in Iran, Larigiani led violent enforcement and suppression operations and even personally supervised the massacre of Iranian protesters. The elimination of Larigiani joins the elimination of dozens of commanders and leaders of the Iranian terror regime whom the IDF eliminated in Operation ‘Lion’s Roar’, and constitutes a further blow to the Iranian leadership’s ability to manage and coordinate its activities against the State of Israel.
