The change in the northern communities in the Golan Heights and Jordan Valley area is a direct continuation of a series of changes we have made in recent weeks in a considered, professional, and controlled manner, as part of a continuous process of learning and adapting to the operational reality. Extending the defense times in the relevant communities will allow residents better preparation during emergencies, with the aim of maximizing their safety. Throughout the war, the Home Front Command has been conducting ongoing learning and improvement processes and is constantly working to improve the response to the citizens of the State of Israel in accordance with the components of the campaign. Out of a deep commitment to the safety of citizens and improving defense capabilities, the Home Front Command, in cooperation with the Northern Command and the Air Force, has completed a professional process to extend the defense time in the communities of Katzrin, Buq’ata, Ein Qiniya, Majdal Shams, Mas’ada, and in some communities of the Golan Regional Council and the Jordan Valley Regional Council. As part of the process, a team of experts was established that examined the systems and capabilities, and led a series of operational and technological adjustments. The change was presented to the local authority heads by the Home Front Command. The extension of the defense time will take effect starting tomorrow (Tuesday) at 12:00 PM. Upon its completion, an official update will be issued with ongoing monitoring and in accordance with operational conditions. Main changes: * In 14 communities, the defense time will be extended from immediate to 15 seconds. * In 8 communities, the defense time will be extended from immediate to 30 seconds. * In 7 communities, the defense time will be extended from 15 seconds to 30 seconds. * In 7 communities, the defense time will be extended from 15 seconds to 45 seconds. * In 8 communities, the defense time will be extended from 30 seconds to 45 seconds. * In 5 communities, there will be no change in defense time.
