Within this framework, a change in defense times is now being implemented in additional communities in the north. This move is part of an orderly, responsible process based on accumulated experience. The extension of the times is intended to enable optimal preparedness during emergencies, thereby strengthening the level of security and protecting the lives of residents. The Home Front Command conducts continuous learning and improvement processes and constantly works to improve the response to the citizens of the State of Israel in accordance with the components of the campaign. Out of a deep commitment to the security of citizens and the improvement of defense capabilities, the Home Front Command, in cooperation with the Northern Command and the Air Force, has completed a professional process to extend the defense time in 49 communities in the Upper Galilee, Lower Galilee, and Central Galilee regions. As part of the process, a team of experts was established that examined the systems and capabilities, and led a series of operational and technological adjustments. The change was presented to the heads of the authorities by the Home Front Command. The extension of the defense time will come into effect starting tomorrow (Thursday), at 16:00. The Home Front Command will continue to examine updates to defense times in additional areas according to capability and operational conditions.
