With Hezbollah joining the fighting about a week ago, the Northern Command is leading the combat. Over the past week, the Northern Command has attacked over 600 targets throughout Lebanon from the air, sea, and land, using over 820 munitions.

More than 190 terrorists were eliminated in the strikes, including the terrorist Abu Hamza Rami, the PIJ commander in Lebanon equivalent in rank to a Major General, two commanders equivalent in rank to Colonels, and three battalion commanders in the terrorist organization. In addition, 27 waves of attacks were completed in the Beirut area, five of which were in the Dahiya district.

The Northern Command’s preliminary deployment enabled a rapid transition to offense and the forces’ deployment to the forward defense operation. Within about an hour of the first barrage by the Hezbollah terrorist organization towards Israel, the forces attacked targets of the Hezbollah terrorist organization.

The Northern Command provides extensive fire support for the forces operating in the forward defense in the security zone, thwarting threats in real-time and executing rapid closure of circles.
